Chevrolet Monte Carlo Common Problems & Maintenance Tips

As the accumulation of mileage, some problems on Chevrolet Monte Carlo started to emerge. According to the driving experience of Chevrolet Monte Carlo vehicle owners, these two are the most common problems:
First, suspension system problem. Chevrolet Monte Carlo vehicle owners complained that after they drove for a while, the indicator light or cable did not match the gear any more. Even it became difficult to remove the key from the ignition to turn off the vehicle. It is certain this problem was also followed by slow acceleration response, dirty or frayed cable and not working cruise control, gear mistakes. It is time to check the shift cable or throttle cable to determine the reason.
Second, cooling system issue. Cooling system plays an important part in vehicle operation. It prevents your Chevrolet Monte Carlo from overheating and decreasing lifespan. People said that they had to refill the coolant constantly, along with leaking coolant found on the vehicle. At the meanwhile, engine overheating happened. Once you find the similar symptoms, you can have an inspection on your intake gasket or coolant reservoir.
Some drivers are keen on checking vehicles by themselves and hood often is the first part to inspect. Actually, most problems do happen at here. If you find your hood closes on its own slowly or suddenly or it cannot stay up at all, you should check your hood latch first before you check it. Seat belt should be replaced every time if pretensioners are activated in the accident. Please remember they are very important for your life safety and never overlook them.
