Once in every three months or after every 3000 miles, some light oil or lock lubricant should be applied to the hinges for door, hood trunk, and latch assemblies. Also, a thin coat of grease is recommended to be spread on the door latch strikers to avoid too much wearing out and aid for an easy movement. Sprayed graphite lubricant is also applicable in doors and trunks locks.
