Chevrolet Trailblazer A/C Condenser Parts Questions & Answers

  • Q: How do you remove the air conditioning Condenser?
A: To remove the air conditioning system, start by discharging it and disconnecting the battery cable. Then, disconnect the refrigerant lines from the condenser and plug the open ends to prevent dirt or moisture from entering. Remove the Radiator and the condenser mounting bolts. Inspect and replace the rubber insulator pads if necessary. If reusing the original condenser, store it with the line fillings on top to prevent oil drainage. If installing a new condenser, pour one ounce of compatible refrigerant oil into it before installation. To reinstall, follow the reverse order of removal, ensuring the rubber pads are in place. Refill the cooling system and have the system evacuated, recharged, and leak tested by a professional.
