  Q: How do you remove the rear hub and bearing for Saturn Vue?

  A: In order to eliminate the hub and bearing assembly, begin by undoing the rear part of AWD models drive axle/hub nut. Then slacken the wheel lug nuts, jack up the truck, and properly ensure it is supported with jack stands. One can then remove the wheel and brake drum. On AWD versions, wire should be used to secure the end of the drive axle after removing right front drive axle spindle nut. If ABS is fitted then disconnect wheel speed sensor. Finally, take out guide hub and bearing from brake assembly four hub mounting bolts.To install Hub and bearing assembly follow same steps but in reverse.Beginning with all four bolts installed,tighten till each reaches its torque specification.AWD models require a new drive axle/hub nut that must be tightly fixed (final tightening will be done after lowering the vehicle).After installing brake drum &wheel,lift vehicle and retighten torque specifications.

  A: To remove the hub and bearing unit, start by loosening the drive axle/hub nut and the wheel lug nuts. Then, raise the vehicle and secure it on jack stands before removing the wheel. Next, take off the brake disc and disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector and unclip the harness from the bracket if the vehicle is equipped with ABS. Remove the drive axle/hub nut and use wire to support the drive axle to prevent it from hanging by the inner CV joint. Proceed to remove the three hub mounting bolts and tap the drive axle end with a hammer and a block of wood if the hub and bearing unit is stuck to the drive axle. For installation, follow the reverse steps of removal, ensuring to replace the hub mounting bolts with new ones and tightening them to the specified torque.
