To install a new element, press the button and slide the new piece into place. Once centered on the blade, it will lock into place. The other method incorporates a spring-type retainer clip at the end of the removable element. When the retainer is pinched together, the element can slide out of the blade assembly. A small pair of pliers can be used to squeeze the retainer. When installing a new element, be certain that the metal insert passes through all of the retaining tabs of the blade assembly.
