- A:Disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the center instrument panel trim, remove screws from A/C switch face, gently pull the A/C switch assembly outward until you can gain access to the electrical or vacuum connectors, disconnect all electrical, vacuum connections, and control cables, remove the A/C switch head, feed the cables, vacuum lines, and electrical connections through the hole in the dash and locate the head so the vacuum and electrical connections can be made, connect vacuum or electrical connectors, connect the cables and adjust each so that the damper is forced all the way closed or open, depending on the lever position on the A/C switch face, install the mounting screws for the A/C switch head, and install the trim panels in reverse order of their removal.Posted by GMPartsGiant Specialist
