- A:To install the new hub and bearing assembly, drive the new dust seal into the knuckle, if removed, and install a new o-ring around the rear of the bearing. Clean the mating surfaces on the steering knuckle, bearing flange, and knuckle bore. Lubricate the outside diameter of the bearing and the seal lips with high-temperature grease and insert the hub and bearing into the steering knuckle.
