To remove the blower motor on a 1999 model (except Seville), start by disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Then, remove the strut tower cross brace, if equipped, and the bracket from the relay center. Position the relay center and MAP sensor off to the side, and remove the ignition coil assembly and solenoid purge valve, if equipped. Cut the rubber insulator and remove the metal patch plate from the engine compartment, and remove the inertial plate from the blower motor case. Disconnect the wiring connector and cooling hose from the blower motor, and remove the mounting screws to pull the blower assembly out of the housing. If there's not enough room, angle the blower motor to unscrew the nut on the fan and remove the motor and fan separately. For the 1999 Seville and 2000 to 2005 models, remove the trim panel, pull back the carpet, and remove the glove box. Remove the dash integration module and bracket, disconnect the blower motor electrical connector, and remove the retaining screws to remove the blower motor from the housing. For 2006 and later models, remove the passenger side lower insulator panel, disconnect the blower motor electrical connector, and remove the retaining screws to remove the blower motor. To remove the auxiliary blower motor on a 1999 model (except Seville), remove the center console and rear cover, disconnect the electrical connector, and remove the mounting screws to separate the fan from the blower motor. For the 1999/2000 to 2005 Seville model, remove the center console, disconnect the electrical connector, disconnect the air ducts, remove the retaining bracket, and push the blower motor down to separate it from the rear air duct. For Deville models, remove the instrument panel, remove the carpet and ducts, and remove the center support assembly from the auxiliary blower motor. For 2006 and later models, remove the center console, disconnect the electrical connectors, remove the screws, and carefully separate the auxiliary blower motor housing to remove the blower motor. Installation is the reverse of removal in all cases.
