- Q:How to Remove and Install a Wiper Switch on Buick Century and Regal? Posted by Customer
- A:To remove the wiper switch on 1975-77 models, insert one or two narrow bladed screw drivers into each of the two slots within the switch face immediately above the knobs and bend the retaining clips downward or break them off, then rotate the top of the switch outward to remove. For 1978-81 models, remove the headlight switch knob and escutcheon, the left 1/P trim plate, and the two retaining screws, then remove the switch. For 1982-87 models, disconnect the negative battery cable, disconnect the turn signal electrical harness at the base of the steering column jacket, remove the wiring protector on the bottom of the column to ease the wiring harness removal, and grasp the lever assembly firmly, and pull straight out.
