- Q:How to Remove and Install Proportioning Valves? Posted by Customer
- A:Disconnect and cap the brake line from the proportioning valve(s), then using a suitable wrench remove the proportioning valve(s) from the master cylinder. Make sure the proportioning valves are installed in the correct places if both are removed at the same time, and both valves must be the same color code. Remove the old O-rings and discard, then install new O-rings on the proportioning valve(s), install the proportioning valve(s) and tighten to 24 ft. lbs.(32Nm), connect the brake line(s) to the proportioning valve(s) and tighten the fittings to 24 ft. lbs.
