- Q:I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 that I need to replace the entire tailgate latch handle/housing and needed to order the parts from you but wanted to be sure I ordered the right parts. The tailgate itself is fine. The issue is that years ago the tailgate opening handle/latch broke off and now I have to open it using pliers which is a pain. I would need the plastic housing that snaps into the tailgate and the handle/latch assembly and the little green and red plastic clips that connect the rods to the tailgate handle, I think. I basically need to replace the entire tailgate opening assembly, as now its just a hole with the two rods in there.
