Avoid overtightening. Finish by reversing the removal steps, starting the engine, and checking for vacuum leaks at the intake manifold joints.

Apply RTV sealant to the front and rear manifold mating surfaces and a thin coat around the coolant passage holes on the cylinder head side of the new intake manifold gaskets. Position the gaskets correctly and set the manifold in place while the sealant is still wet. Install and tighten the bolts following the recommended sequence. Complete the remaining steps in reverse order, refill the cooling system, and check for leaks at the intake manifold joints.
