To remove and install the standard front speaker on a 1990-93 Deville and Fleetwood, start by disconnecting the negative battery cable. Then, remove the screws from the defroster grille and the A/C outlets. Next, remove the instrument panel upper trim pad and disconnect the aspirator tube and wiring connector from the in-vehicle temperature sensor. Remove the mounting screws from the speaker flange and pull out the speaker assembly. Detach the wiring connector and remove the speaker. The installation is the reverse of removal. For the standard front door speaker, disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the door panel. Remove the speaker-to-housing retaining screws and detach the speaker wiring connector. To install, reverse the removal procedure. For the 1990-91 Eldorado and Seville, disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the door panel. Remove the speaker mounting screws and detach the wiring connector. Remove the speaker and install by reversing the removal procedure. For the Delco/Bose front door speaker, disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the door panel. Detach the speaker wiring connector and remove the screws retaining the speaker enclosure. Peel back the carpet and remove the screws retaining the rear enclosure cover. Remove the speaker and install by reversing the removal procedure. For the rear speakers, disconnect the negative battery cable and open the trunk. Remove the plastic speed nuts attaching the speaker enclosure and swing it down. Remove the speaker bracket spring clip and swing the bracket down. Detach the speaker wiring connector and remove the speaker. For standard speakers, lift the speaker out of the bracket. For Delco/Bose speakers, remove the screws accessed through the bottom of the amplifier and remove the screw through the bracket into the speaker magnet. Install by reversing the removal procedure. For the 1992-98 Eldorado and Seville front door speaker, disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the door panel. Detach the speaker wiring connector and remove the screws to release the speaker unit. For standard speakers, remove the retaining screws and detach the wiring connector. For Delco/Bose speakers, remove the amplifier cover and gasket, detach the wiring connector, and remove the speaker. Install by reversing the removal procedure. For the rear speaker, disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the rear seat cushion, seat back, and quarter trim panel. Remove the rear shelf trim panel and detach the wiring connector. Pry the speaker from the retaining clips and install by reversing the removal procedure.
