- A:The climate control panel on the 1999 Deville is integrated into the instrument cluster. To remove the A/C switch assembly on the Seville model, start by disconnecting the battery's negative terminal cable. Then, remove the instrument panel center trim plate and the console trim plate. Partially pull out the A/C switch assembly and radio, and disconnect the electrical connectors. Next, remove the A/C switch assembly bracket mounting screws and separate the radio from the A/C switch assembly. For installation, simply follow the reverse of the removal procedure. On the 2000 and later Deville/DTS models, remove the instrument panel center trim plate and depress and hold each locking tab on the corners to release the A/C switch assembly. In 2006 and later models, remove the A/C switch assembly retaining screws. Partially pull out the A/C switch assembly and disconnect the electrical connectors.
