- A:Locate the heater core within the heater case under the dashboard. Disconnect the battery and drain the radiator and heater hoses. Remove the heater case attaching nuts and screws from inside the engine compartment. Inside the car, disconnect the control cables and remove the entire case assembly from the dash panel.
