- Q:How to remove and install a Brake Light Switch? Posted by Customer
- A:Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. The brake light switch is located at the top of the brake pedal. On 1988 through 1993 models, to remove the switch, unplug the electrical connector and pull the switch off the brake pedal. The brake light switch snaps into place without bolts or clips on these models. On 1994 models, to remove the switch, unplug the electrical connector, remove the clip and slide the switch and push rod off the brake pedal. Remove the switch from the pushrod. Installation is the reverse of removal. Reconnect the electrical connector and have an assistant check the brake lights.Posted by GMPartsGiant Specialist
