- Q:How to replace the air filter? Posted by Customer
- A:The air filter should be replaced with a new one at the specified intervals, as it also supplies filtered air to the PCV system. The filter is located on top of the carburetor or throttle body and can be replaced by unscrewing the wing nut, detaching the clips from the top of the filter housing, and lifting off the cover. Once the cover is off, lift the filter element out and wipe out the inside of the housing with a clean rag. After cleaning, place the new filter in the housing, ensuring it seats properly at the bottom. Finally, install the top plate and any hoses which were disconnected, being careful not to overtighten the wing nut.Posted by GMPartsGiant Specialist
