- A:For 4-cylinder models from 2005 to early 2008, the air intake duct can be removed by disconnecting the PCV hose, loosening the hose clamps at the air filter box and throttle body, and removing the duct. The installation is the reverse of removal. For late 2008 and later models, the air duct can be removed by removing the hose clamps at each end. The installation is the reverse of removal. The air filter box for 2005 to early 2008 models can be removed by removing the intake air duct, disconnecting the wiring from the MAF sensor, disconnecting the interfering air conditioning line, removing the mounting bolt, and removing the filter box. The installation is the reverse of removal. For late 2008 and later models, the box can be removed by removing the intake air duct, removing the MAF sensor, removing the box mounting bolt, and lifting it out. The installation is the reverse of removal. For V6 models, the air intake duct can be removed by disconnecting the PCV hose and removing the mounting bolt. The installation is the reverse of removal. The air filter box can be removed by removing the intake duct, disconnecting the wiring from the MAT sensor, moving the air conditioning line clamp (for 3.6L models), removing the box mounting bolt(s), and lifting it out.
