- Q:How to remove and replace a condenser in a system? Posted by Customer
- A:After evacuating the system, the coupled hose and liquid line fittings should be disconnected. The screws that retain the top radiator shroud should be removed next. Following this, the bolts that hold the condenser to the top radiator support should be removed. The radiator should then be carefully tilted to the rear and the condenser lifted out of the bottom cradle supports. If replacing the condenser with a new one, the brackets and mounts from the old unit should be transferred to the new one. The installation procedures are the reverse of those for removal. When installing the hose and fittings, new O-rings should be used and lubricated with refrigerant oil.
