A:
Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the column cover screws. Grasp the steering column tilt lever securely and detach it by pulling straight out. Remove the screws from the bottom cover, then tilt the lower cover back toward the dash to disengage the cover from its clips. The upper cover has one retaining screw. On airbag-equipped models, it will be necessary to remove the steering wheel to provide sufficient clearance for the removal of both covers. Installation is the reverse of removal.
