- A:To remove the door latch, start by removing the door trim panel. Then, remove the screws from the door module and tilt it out at the top. Detach the rods from the latch assembly and remove the latch mounting screws. Pull the latch assembly out from inside the door. To remove the inside door handle, drill out the rivets from the inside handle housing and pull it out. Detach the control rods from the handle. To remove the door lock cylinder and outside door handle, remove the door trim panel and water deflector. Remove the door module and window glass assembly. Detach the control rods from the handle and the lock cylinder. Remove the handle mounting screws and the lock cylinder from the handle housing. Finally, remove the handle.
