Install the wheels and lug nuts, lower the vehicle, and tighten the wheel lug nuts to the proper torque specifications.

To remove the rear sway bar on a vehicle, start by loosening the rear wheel lug nuts and blocking the front wheels to prevent rolling. Then, raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands before removing the rear wheels. Mark the rear camber adjusting bolts for reinstallation. Next, remove the muffler assembly and, for 2005 and 2006 models, disconnect the wiring from the fuel pump module and EVAP vent valve solenoid harness. Lower the fuel tank enough to gain access. For all models, support the control arms and remove the rear axle toe links. If working on a 2007 or later model, remove the tie rod bracket brace. Unbolt the sway bar bushing clamp fasteners and inspect the bushings for damage. Replace them if necessary. Detach the sway bar link-to-knuckle bolts on both sides and remove the bar. To install, lubricate the new bushings with vegetable oil and slide them onto the sway bar. Install the sway bar link and clamp bolts, tightening them to the specified torque. Finally, install the wheels, lower the vehicle, and tighten the lug nuts to the correct torque.
