A:
To remove the sway bar kit, start by loosening the front wheel lug nuts and raising the front of the vehicle on jack stands. Remove the front wheels and detach the catalytic converter from the exhaust manifold on 2007 through 2009 models. Disconnect the sway bar kit links from the bar, making sure to hold the ball stud with a Torx or Allen wrench if it turns with the nut. Disconnect the left tie-rod end from the steering knuckle and detach both sway bar bushing retainers from the subframe. On 2007 through 2009 models, detach the steering gear from the subframe. Carefully remove the sway bar kit from the left wheel well and inspect the retainer bushings for any cracks, wear, or deterioration. If necessary, replace them. To install the sway bar kit, clean the bushing area with a wire brush to remove any rust or dirt. Lubricate the new bushings with vegetable oil to make reassembly easier. Install the retainers and bolts, tightening them to the specified torque. Install the links and tighten the nuts to the specified torque. On 2007 through 2009 models, install the steering gear and catalytic converter. Finally, install the wheels and lower the vehicle, tightening the lug nuts to the specified torque.
