- A:To remove the coolant overflow and windshield washer reservoirs, start by disconnecting the overflow hose from the radiator filler neck. Then, remove the fasteners securing the reservoirs to the radiator core support. On 1994 and earlier models, lift up both reservoirs and detach the coolant reservoir from the windshield washer reservoir before removing them from the vehicle. On 1995 and later models, disconnect the electrical connections and washer fluid hoses from the windshield washer pumps before removing the reservoirs. To install the reservoirs, simply reverse the removal steps. For 1994 and earlier models, make sure to lock the reservoirs together at the side and engage the coolant reservoir in the lower bracket. For 1995 and later models, ensure that the three locating pins at the bottom of the reservoirs are engaged with the corresponding holes in the lower support.Posted by GMPartsGiant Specialist
