Turn the disc and ensure that the indicator reading does not exceed 0.003-inch. If it does, the disc should be refinished by a machine shop. Additionally, make sure the disc thickness does not go below the specified minimum thickness, which is cast into the disc. You can check the disc thickness with a micrometer. For removal and installation, on 2WD models, the disc is part of the front hub and should be removed and installed as part of the front wheel bearing maintenance procedure. On 4WD models, the disc can be pulled off the hub after removing the wheel and caliper.
