- A:Disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the hush panel, instrument panel trim plate, and A/C switch attaching screws, then pull the A/C switch out. Unplug the electrical and vacuum connectors at the back of the A/C switch and disconnect the temperature control cable. Position the A/C switch near the mounting location, engage the electrical and vacuum connectors and cables to the back of the A/C switch, connect the temperature control cable, install the A/C switch and attaching screws, instrument panel trim plate, and hush panel, then connect the negative battery cable and tighten the cable bolt to 11 ft. lbs. - A:Start by removing the right front inner fender panel. Disconnect the wiring at the lower assembly and remove the 5 nuts and 2 screws securing the inlet assembly to the dash panel. Pull the entire assembly straight off the studs and remove it from the inner fender panel.
