- A:To remove the headlight housing, start by opening the hood and removing the grille if you're working on a Chevrolet model. Then, pull up the headlight housing retaining tabs and remove the park/turn signal bulb socket from the housing. If you're working on a Chevrolet or GMC model, also remove the side marker socket. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) and take the headlamp housing out of the panel. To install the headlight housing, simply reverse the removal steps by aligning the housing locating pins with the holes in the panel and pushing the retaining tabs down to lock the housing in place.Posted by GMPartsGiant Specialist
