During initial trips after the oil change, monitor for leaks and proper oil levels. Properly dispose of the old oil by checking with local facilities or recycling centers. Lastly, reset the "Change Engine Oil" light using either of the two specified methods, depending on your vehicle's features, ensuring the Oil Life Monitor is successfully reset.

For V6 models, the oil filter should be removed and replaced using an oil filter wrench. For four-cylinder models, the canister-type oil filter can be accessed from the top of the engine.
