- A:To remove the mount from a vehicle, start by raising the vehicle and securely supporting it on jackstands. Then, use a floor jack and a block of wood to support the transmission. Next, remove the mount-to-support bracket nut and the two support bracket-to-cross-member nuts and bolts. After that, remove the two mount-to-transmission bolts. Proceed to remove the two upper support bracket insulators from the support bracket. Slide the support bracket and mount out from between the transmission and the cross-member. Finally, pull the mount from the support bracket. To install the mount, simply follow the reverse of the removal procedure.Posted by GMPartsGiant Specialist
