- Q:How to replace the fuel pressure sensor and fuel pump flow control module on Chevrolet Avalanche,Silverado,Suburban,Tahoe,GMC Sierra,Yukon,Yukon Denali and Yukon XL? Posted by Customer
- A:Relieve the system fuel pressure to begin with the fuel pressure sensor. Raise the vehicle and place it securely on jackstands. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fuel pressure sensor. Unscrew the fuel pressure sensor from the fuel supply line. Remove and discard the old fuel pressure sensor o-ring. Coat a new o-ring with a little clean engine oil, then install it on the fuel pressure sensor. Installation is otherwise the reverse of removal. Be sure to tighten the fuel pressure sensor securely. Before lowering the vehicle, test for leaks as follows: Turn the ignition switch key to the ON position (don't start the engine) for two seconds. Turn the ignition switch key to the OFF position for ten seconds. Turn the ignition switch key to the ON position (don't start the engine). Inspect the area around the fuel pressure sensor for leaks. For the fuel pump driver module, raise the vehicle and place it securely on jackstands. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fuel pump driver module. Remove the three control module mounting bolts and remove the module from its mounting bracket. Installation is the reverse of removal.Posted by GMPartsGiant Specialist
