How do you start the process of removing the transaxle for the 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt? Posted by Customer
A:
To start removing the transaxle, place the vehicle in PARK with the parking brake engaged and disconnect the negative battery cable. Label and unplug all transaxle electrical connectors and remove any related brackets. Disconnect the shift cable from the shift lever at the transaxle and remove the shift cable bracket from the rear powertrain mount. Also, disconnect the Output/Input Shaft Speed sensor and loosen the front wheel lug nuts and driveaxle/hub nuts.
