Q:
How to replace a PCV valve for Oldsmobile Cutlass? Posted by Customer
A:
The PCV valve is typically located in one of the rocker arm covers on the side of the engine, with a hose connected to it that runs to either the carburetor or the intake manifold. When buying a replacement PCV valve, ensure it is suitable for your specific vehicle, model year, and engine size. To replace it, pull the valve (with the hose attached) from its rubber grommet in the rocker arm cover. Use pliers or a screwdriver to loosen the clamp at the end of the hose and move it upwards on the PCV hose. Then, pull the PCV valve from the end of the hose, noting its installed position and direction. Compare the old valve with the new one to ensure they are identical. Push the new valve into the end of the hose until it is fully seated. Move the hose clamp down the hose and tighten it securely around the end of the hose. Check the rubber grommet in the cover for damage and replace it if necessary. Finally, push the PCV valve and hose securely into the rocker arm cover.

How do you replace the PCV valve on the 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix? Posted by Customer
A:
Remove the fuel injector cover, disconnect the MAP sensor's electrical connector, unclip the sensor from the PCV valve access cover, and rotate the cover counterclockwise to remove it. Replace the PCV valve, making sure it matches the old one, and install it in reverse order. Replace the O-ring if needed.
