  A: To remove and install the power steering pump on various Cadillac models, first, remove the serpentine drive belt and drain power steering fluid from the reservoir. Then, take off the bolts holding the reservoir and disengage it from its tube connector. Next, take off the belt tensioner and the pulley using appropriate tools for this purpose. Disconnect the pressure line fitting from the pump and then remove the pump mounting bolts. Use a small prybar to disengage return line adapter clip from adapter; remove adapter from return line. When installing, inspect all adapter O-rings for damage and ensure proper positioning. Insert return line adapter clip on adapter; position adapter on pump inserting pump inlet tube until fully seated thereon. Install pump into vehicle making sure that return line is fully seated and retained by adapter clip. Tighten pump mounting bolts; also fit a pressure line fitting tightly at that place. Press pulley onto pump shaft where afterwards install belt tensioner. Finally, fill and bleed power steering system.
