  A: You need to inspect windshield wiper as well as the blade assembly. Check periodically for damage, loose components, and cracked or worn blade elements. Therefore, rinse them regularly with a mild detergent solution because road film can accumulate on the blades of wipers and affect their effectiveness. The new blade elements should be purchased if they are warped, cracked, worn or no longer clean adequately. Remove it from the glass by lifting the arm assembly up for clearance then slide the wiper blade assembly out of the hook in the end of the arm, which requires depressing a release lever. To separate it from the arm, depress a release tab and pull wiper blade toward windshield's direction to release the blade holder. Fit this new wiper onto your arm. An audible click will indicate that connection has been made.
