Customer Questions & Answers

Q:
How should the front driveshaft on the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado be removed? Posted by Customer
A:
The vehicle should be raised and supported on jackstands, with the differential carrier splash shield removed if equipped. The boot at the transfer case output shaft should be disengaged and the relationship of the driveshaft to the front differential companion flange marked. The bolts and clamps should be removed from the differential flange, and the driveshaft pushed to the rear and separated from the flange before being lowered and pulled out of the transfer case.

Q:
What should be done during installation of the front driveshaft on the 2011 GMC Sierra? Posted by Customer
