- Q:How to remove and install a stud from a hub flange? Posted by Customer
- A:To remove a wheel hub bolt from a hub flange, first loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the wheel and brake disc or drum. Then, push the bolt out of the hub flange with a press tool. To install a new bolt, insert it into the hub flange from the back side and install some flat washers and a lug nut on the bolt. Tighten the lug nut until the bolt is seated in the flange. Reinstall the disc and caliper, or brake drum, and install the wheel and lug nuts. Finally, lower the vehicle and tighten the lug nuts to the torque specifications.Posted by GMPartsGiant Specialist
