  Q: How do you remove the instrument panel?

  A: To remove the instrument cluster, start by disconnecting the negative battery cable. Then, remove the Center Console, knee bolsters, and dashboard end trim panels. Disconnect the electrical connectors at both ends of the instrument cluster and remove the dash pad. Next, remove the steering column mounting nuts/bolts and lower the column, disconnecting the intermediate shaft and tilt column cables and electrical connectors. Remove the instrument cluster center bracket bolts, glove box, and passenger airbag module. Finally, remove the nuts along the top and ends of the instrument cluster, lift it up, pull it rearward, and withdraw it from the vehicle. To reinstall, simply follow the steps in reverse.

  Q: How to remove and install an instrument cluster?

  A: Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Remove the instrument cluster bezel. Remove the instrument cluster screws, pull out the cluster and unplug the electrical connectors. Remove the mounting screws, pull the instrument cluster out for access and disconnect the electrical connectors. Installation is the reverse of removal.
