About Buick Regal

Buick Regal is an upscale mid-size car manufactured by General Motors since 1973. The first Buick Regal was introduced in 1973 as a 2-door sedan and 4-door coupe. After it got facelift in its second generation (1978-1987), it won a majority of the 1981 and 1982 NASCAR racing season and won the NASCAR manufacturers title in these two years. Up to today, it has been produced through five generation and its sixth generation is in development and will be unveiled in 2018.
The fourth generation Buick Regal (1997-2004) offered seven trim levels, which were LSE, GSE, Regal LS, GS performance, Regal LSX, Regal GSX and SLP performance. They were powered by either 3.8 L L36 Series II V6 engine or 3.8 L L67 Series II supercharged V6 engine with 4-speed 4T60-E, 4-speed 4T65-E and 4-speed 4T65-E HD automatic transmission. Though in China, it offered New Century, GL, GLX and GS powered by 2.0 L 4-cylinder and 2.5 L V6 engine. In 2009, the fifth generation Buick Regal (2010-2017) was unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show for 2010 model year. It offered CXL, GS and Sport Touring Edition models with more engine options but only 4-cylinder engine with 6-speed manual and automatic transmission.
