How to remove the A/C switch on Cadillac CTS?

To remove the center trim panel/control assembly in a vehicle, begin by disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal. Then, remove the center floor console shifter trim plate and the center and right side trim applique panels. Remove the upper center trim cover panel and the screws at the bottom of the panel. Use a plastic trim tool to pry the assembly out and unplug the connectors. Remove the A/C switch retaining screws on the back of the panel.
