Then, unlock the throttle cable from the cable bracket and slide it out. Rotate the throttle lever to the wide-open position and disengage the throttle cable from the slot in the throttle lever cam. Detach the throttle cable from the cable clip near the brake fluid reservoir. Trace the throttle cable to the firewall area and note the location of the retainer. Inside the vehicle, remove the knee bolster trim panel and the knee bolster. Disengage the throttle cable from the accelerator pedal. Under the dash, locate the throttle cable retainer and squeeze the tangs together to push the throttle cable through the firewall. To install, simply reverse the removal process.
