Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery, remove the intake manifold service cover, disconnect the accelerator cable and the cruise control cable from the throttle body actuator, relieve the fuel pressure, disconnect the fuel inlet and return hoses at the intake manifold, remove the air intake duct from the throttle body, remove the air filter housing and fuel injectors, remove the transaxle vent hose and the transaxle shift cable at the bracket, disconnect the throttle position sensor and the IAC valve connectors, drain some coolant into a clean container, disconnect the coil module connectors from each coil/module assembly, disconnect the vacuum tubes from the AIR solenoid, loosen the intake manifold duct clamp, clearly label and detach all remaining wires, hoses, and brackets still attached to the intake manifold, remove the mounting nuts and bolts, then detach the intake manifold from the cylinder heads, ensuring not to pry between the gasket mating surfaces to avoid damage. Inspect the intake manifold gaskets (if they are not serviceable, the intake manifold will have to be replaced), remove all old gasket material from the intake manifold and cylinder heads, clean mating surfaces and install new gaskets. Install the inner nuts and bolts, working in from inwards, and do multiple passes for evenly slipping the nuts and bolts in and around the intake manifold so it will mate perfectly with the intake duct boot and the engine's mounting stud and bolt holes. Secure the duct clamp, install remaining parts in reverse of removal, refilling cooling system, change oil and filter, operating the engine and checking for fuel, vacuum and coolant leaks.
