Loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, and support it securely on jackstands before removing the wheel. For a 4WD model, remove the driveaxle/hub nut by bracing a large prybar across two of the wheel studs or inserting a large screwdriver through the center of the brake caliper and into the disc cooling vanes to prevent the hub from turning as the nut is loosened. Next, remove the brake caliper and brake disc, hanging the caliper out of the way on a piece of wire without disconnecting the brake hose. Proceed to remove the hub and bearing assembly, followed by the disc splash shield from the steering knuckle. Unbolt the brake hose bracket from the top of the steering knuckle, then disconnect the tie-rod end from the steering knuckle. Disconnect the upper and lower arms from the steering knuckle before removing the steering knuckle itself. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring that all components are tightened to their proper torque specifications.
