Verify that the seatbelts, buckles, latch plates, and guide loops exhibit unmistakable indication of abnormality, wear, or damage, and that the seatbelt reminder light comes on as the key switch is operated. The seatbelts are built to contract during a jerk or a collision while affording flexibility during usual operation. The retractors must be leaned on the chest area during driving and spool back the belt when the buckle is released. If any of the check indicate some problem with the seat belt system then replace parts as required.
