Chevrolet Avalanche Air Filter Box

The Chevrolet Avalanche Air Filter Box is the first line of defense against grit getting inside the V8. It allows the truck to breathe freely while protecting sensitive parts from destruction. Sitting near the front fender, the Air Filter Box seals a pleated filter inside a tough plastic case, which leads incoming air through a single clean path to ensure sand, leaves, and exhaust soot are trapped before the flow enters the intake manifold. By blocking these particles, it prevents scoring of pistons and valves and keeps abrasive metal dust from getting into the crankcase oil. Across model years, the basic layout has remained consistent, and the original Chevrolet blueprint is based on a clamshell housing of the Air Filter Box with gasketed edges and a dedicated snorkel so drivers can experience reliable filtration no matter if their Avalanche is tackling dusty work sites or cruising city streets. Because the Air Filter Box filters out so much debris, regular filter changes keep the airflow at maximum and help the engine avoid power loss and costly wear. Although inlet shape has been tweaked to improve performance, every version of the Chevrolet continues to serve the same basic purpose: hold the filter and channel air, a mission the Air Filter Box performs quietly every mile the Avalanche keeps rolling.

Each OEM Chevrolet Avalanche Air Filter Box we offer is competitively priced and comes with the assurance of the manufacturer's warranty for the part. Furthermore, we guarantee the speedy delivery of your orders right to your doorstep. Our hassle-free return policy is also in place for your peace of mind.

Chevrolet Avalanche Air Filter Box Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove the air intake duct and air filter box on Chevrolet Avalanche?
    A:
To remove the air intake duct on V8 models, first remove the intake manifold cover and disconnect the PCV fresh air inlet hose. Then detach the radiator hose clip and loosen the hose clamp screws at the MAF sensor and Throttle Body. Lift the duct straight up to disengage the locator pin from its insulator grommet. To remove the air filter box, disconnect the electrical connector from the MAF sensor and pull the box straight up to disengage the two locator pins from their insulator grommets. While the box is out, inspect the rubber mounting grommets and replace any that are damaged. Installation is the reverse of removal.
