  • Q: How to remove and install the CMP sensor on Chevrolet Avalanche,Silverado,Suburban,Tahoe,GMC Sierra,Yukon,Yukon Denali and Yukon XL?
    A: For V6 models,Disconnect the CMP sensor connector. Remove the water pump, then the CMP sensor and its old o-ring. During installation, use a new lubricated o-ring and securely tighten the sensor bolt. For V8 models: Elevate the vehicle's front and secure on jackstands. Disconnect the CMP sensor harness and remove the sensor and o-ring. If the o-ring is damaged, replace it. Lubricate the o-ring with clean engine oil. Reinstall by reversing the removal steps, ensuring tight mounting bolts.
