How to remove and install the CMP sensor on Chevrolet Avalanche,Silverado,Suburban,Tahoe,GMC Sierra,Yukon,Yukon Denali and Yukon XL?

For V6 models,Disconnect the CMP sensor connector. Remove the water pump, then the CMP sensor and its old o-ring. During installation, use a new lubricated o-ring and securely tighten the sensor bolt. For V8 models: Elevate the vehicle's front and secure on jackstands. Disconnect the CMP sensor harness and remove the sensor and o-ring. If the o-ring is damaged, replace it. Lubricate the o-ring with clean engine oil. Reinstall by reversing the removal steps, ensuring tight mounting bolts.
