To Hazitt the wheel, one has to take the lug nuts loose, lift the front limb of the car, and support it on safety jackstands and at the same time engage the parking brake and wedge the rear wheels to stop them from rolling over. Next, remove the pinch bolt of tie-rod end and then disconnect the tie-rod end from the steering arm with the help of two-jaw puller and donot hammer on the stud. Paint the area between the tie-rod end and the threaded adjuster white so that when the car is reassembled the toe-in that was set will not be altered, then remove the tie-rod end from the tie-rod. To install, thread the tie-rod end as far as the mark on the tie-rod before connecting it to the steering arm and use a castellated nut and new cotter pin and tighten to the prescribed torque value. Last, but not least, turn the pinch bolt, put the wheel on, jack up the vehicle, tighten the lug nuts to the prescribed degree turning them in a star pattern before taking your car to the dealer service department or an alignment shop has the front end steering geometry checked.
