On the models that have the Delco Loe II or Theft lock audio system, first, make sure that the lockout is disabled before disconnecting the battery. Start with the removal of the cable of cable connected to the negative battery terminal. That must be followed by the removal of the steering wheel as well as the cancel cam assembly. Remove the hazard warning knob by unscrewing the knob and the screw that is fitted on it. The turn signal lever mounting screw has to be undone and so does the housing cover screw, then take off the turn signal arm and then housing away from the column together with the lever and the housing. It remain, however necessary to remove the plastic spacer in the lower left corner of the housing as it would be needed for the next step. Go ahead to take off the under-dash panel that is situated just below the steering column. It is also necessary to remove screws in the steering column bracket and to release the steering column from the top of the dash. Find that the harness for the turn signal switch is held on by two wiring tabs and remove the wires that connect to the buzzer switch assembly; the black and tan wire, and the light green wire. Pull the electrical lead and connector upwards and disconnect it, and then undo the mounting screws of the turn signal switch assembly and therefore, snap it off. Installation is performed in the exact opposite order to that of removal.
