How to remove the automatic transmission shift levers on Chevrolet Blazer?

To remove the shift lever knob, turn the locknut clockwise to loosen it. Remove the knob and nut from the lever. If there is a floor console, remove it. Back off the lever nut and unscrew and remove the lever. To install the lever, install the nut without tightening it and install the lever and tighten the nut securely.
