How to remove and install the steering column cover on Chevrolet Camaro?

Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. The steering column upper cover and instrument cluster trim panel are connected and must be removed simultaneously; once removed, the cluster trim panel can be separated from the steering column upper trim panel. Tilt the column down to the lowest position. Press in on the sides of the upper cover to disengage the clips from the lower cover and separate the two covers. Remove the instrument cluster trim panel from the instrument cluster. Lift both the upper cover and instrument cluster trim panel as an assembly. Release the tabs on the upper column cover using a small screwdriver to disengage the tabs and separate the panels from the instrument cluster panel. Installation is the reverse of removal. Remove the mounting fasteners from the left and right halves of the steering column lower covers. If the upper cover is still mounted, press in on the sides of the lower covers to disengage the clips from the upper cover and separate the covers. Installation is the reverse of removal.
