How to remove the Car Speakers on Chevrolet Cobalt?

For Cobalt/G5 and ION cars, first take off the trim panel above the accessories, then remove the screws holding the radio in place and pull it out from the dashboard. After unplugging the radio, detach three connections from its back: antenna cable, electrical wires, and ground wire. When installing new speakers on the front doors, start with the top speakers. Uncover them by taking off the upper door trim panel, disconnecting the electrical connector attached to the tweeter, and giving its two locking hooks just enough space to pull the tweeter out of its pull handle. Installation follows the reverse process. To remove lower speakers, first take off the front door trim panel, unscrew the speaker mounting screws, then disconnect the electrical connector when you pull out the speaker. Again, installation is the reverse of removal. Unscrew the mounting screws, remove two panels on both sides, and then pushpins holding the rear window shelf.
